Retail Manager

$58,240 to $62,400/year, paid hourly at $28 to $30 with overtime

Bridge & Burn has been making classic, functional Northwest apparel for men and women in Portland since 2010. Our founder Erik grew up in Bend, and this summer we opened our first Central Oregon store on Wall Street. Now we’re looking for the person who will lead it and help it grow.

You’ll run the Bend store day to day and help shape what it becomes. You’ll lead a small team, set the tone for how customers are treated, and have a real voice in what works for this market. You’ll also be the face of Bridge & Burn in Bend, building real relationships with local businesses, organizations, and the community. You’ll work closely with our Portland team on product, merchandising, and marketing, with plenty of room to bring your own ideas.

• Lead, hire, train, and coach a small team of retail associates
• Grow sales and build a loyal local customer base
• Keep the store looking sharp with strong visual merchandising
• Manage inventory and work with Portland on product flow
• Use sales data to spot what’s working and adjust
• Host First Friday events and other in store gatherings that bring people downtown
• Build partnerships with other Bend businesses and local organizations

• 2+ years leading a retail team
• Experience growing sales and building loyal customers
• Experience hiring, training, and supporting a team

• Background in apparel or specialty retail
• Comfort with POS and inventory systems
• Connections in the Bend community
• A love for great product and great customer service

• $28 to $30/hr based on experience, plus overtime when you work over 40 hours, so busy seasons pay you more
