A Journeyman Estimator is an employee qualified to perform all estimating functions through training as a Journeyman Estimator Apprentice or equivalent education and experience. They should have an intermediate knowledge of electrical theory and practice, and a detailed knowledge of construction specifications, electrical codes, and rate and service policies. Responsibilities include conducting field surveys, preparing right-of-way permits, crossing and conflict documents, expenditure requisitions, and assisting in the preparation of district annual budgets.

• A high school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completion of an Estimator apprenticeship program or equivalent education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of electrical theory and operations, and a thorough understanding of construction specifications, electrical codes, mapping systems, and line extension policies and tariffs.
• Successful completion of the Estimator exam within 6 months from the start date.

• Previous experience as an Estimator.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience.
• Familiarity with the Electric Service Requirements Manual and IBEW Local 125 Working Agreement.
