Human Services Case Manager; Bilingual

Position: Human Services Case Manager (Bilingual Spanish Preferred)
A Bachelor's degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related field;

** OR
* * A Bachelor's degree in any field and one year of human services related experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing);

** OR
* * An Associate's degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science or a closely related field
** AND
* * two years of human services related experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing);

** OR
* * Three years of human services related experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing).
* Experience with managing services for individuals.
* Experience interpreting and implementing policy and procedures.
* Experience preparing and maintaining written narrative documentation of actions taken.
* Experience interviewing to obtain information to evaluate the next steps to take in a process.

You will visit clients, hospitals, nursing homes, APD offices and other providers.
* May work with individuals experiencing trauma or crisis. Some individuals may have challenges managing their emotions.
* May encounter situations requiring quick decision-making to ensure the safety of oneself or others.
* A current driver’s license is required and an acceptable driving record.
* If selected as a finalist, we will conduct a criminal history and background check. Adverse criminal history or background check may lead to disqualification.
* The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship.
