Teacher Active is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming specialist school near Benfleet. This setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, communication difficulties, complex needs, and associated learning challenges.

The Role:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities

Help implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans

Support students with communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs

Promote a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate :

Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school, care, youth work, or similar)

A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Understanding of ASD, ADHD, or complex needs (desirable but not essential)

A genuine passion for inclusive education
