Vice President of Finance | Onsite (Benicia, CA)

LHH is partnering with a privately held, well‑established organization in the manufacturing / wine industry that is seeking a hands‑on Vice President of Finance to join its executive leadership team. This is an immediate need following a recent resignation, and the role is already moving quickly.

This position offers a clear path to CFO within the next 2–3 years and is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in an operational environment, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and wants broad exposure across finance, accounting, and business strategy.

• Onsite: 4 days/week in Benicia, CA
• Direct exposure to the CEO, Board of Directors, and international CFO

• Full financial leadership across accounting, FP&A, forecasting, treasury, tax, audit, and reporting
• Oversight of accounting leadership and a small finance team (including Controller, Sr. Accountant, Analyst)
• Current oversight of IT with future responsibility for Supply Chain finance
• Foreign exchange strategy and reporting (
  required

• Audit management (Moss Adams)
• Adaptive Planning or similar FP&A tools (
  strongly preferred
  )
• Executive‑level financial presentations and board reporting

This is a high‑visibility, hands‑on leadership role
, not a desk‑only position.

• Proven finance leadership experience in a manufacturing, wine, or operational environment
• Strong hands‑on FP&A and accounting foundation
• Experience managing cross‑functional teams (Accounting, IT, Supply Chain)
• Foreign exchange experience required
• Payroll experience related to allocations and taxes
• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Master’s strongly preferred
• Personality fit matters: energetic, strategic, empathetic, resilient, and comfortable leading through change

• This role is onsite and requires a strong local presence
• This is not a remote or advisory position
