Join our team as a Welder, where you will perform GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick) welding on rotating equipment pieces such as pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, impellers, and small bore pipes. Your primary focus will be overlay and fillet welding to repair and maintain these components, working with materials ranging from carbon steel to stainless steel, nickel, and chrome. Accurate documentation to code is essential in this role.

• Perform GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick) welding on various rotating equipment.
• Conduct overlay and fillet welding for repairs and maintenance.
• Weld materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, and chrome.
• Collaborate with mechanics for equipment assembly and repair.
• Participate in heat treatment training for equipment pieces.
• Ensure all welding procedures are documented according to code.

• 3-5 years of experience in TIG and Stick welding.
• Current or previous certifications in GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick) welding.
• Experience with ASME Section IX code.
• Proficiency in welding carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, and other metals.
• Ability to perform fillet and overlay welds.
• Experience in welding pipes and reading welding procedures.

• Experience in rotating equipment or refinery welding.
• Good understanding of blueprints and welding documentation.
• Must be able to Pass X-Ray WELD TEST.
• Requirements:
• Must be able to overlay weld in a few different positions.
• Must be able to fillet weld.

• Welding hood and gloves.
• Appropriate clothes to weld in.

Work in an industrial machine shop servicing refinery-related companies. The role involves machining, maintenance, and welding. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Flexibility for overtime is required based on customer demands, ensuring quality and timely repair work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BENICIA, CA.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 – $40.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in BENICIA, CA.
