General Function / Summary

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service and regulatory excellence.
- Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio, presenting all options that meet their needs.
- Escalate issues to the store manager, District Director of Operations (DDO), and corporate office when unable to resolve directly.
- Answer telephone inquiries regarding general questions, applications, requests, or other issues.
- Perform outbound customer sales, courtesy, and collection calls in accordance with federal regulations, store operating procedures, and volume expectations.
- Respond professionally and accurately, explaining solutions and ensuring the customer feels supported and valued.
- Interact with customers using active listening skills to confirm or clarify information and diffuse complaints.
- Handle and count currency, cash, and coins, manage a cash drawer, count deposits, and handle bank pick‑ups as required.
- Balance batch receipts with store sales reports at end of day and resolve over/short discrepancies.
- Perform customer verifications to validate information presented.
- Process all transactions accurately per company policy, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
- Comply with federal and state regulations and Company policies.
- Complete compliance trainings and quarterly I‑Agree timely.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) of experience in sales, customer service, and/or cash handling preferred.
- Strong customer service, active listening, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
- Own reliable personal transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance.

- Call center/retail/office environment.
- Extensive cash handling and extended phone usage.
- Long periods of standing and computer use.
- Must lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must travel to all stores within the assigned district by personal vehicle.
- May travel to neighboring districts and require overnight travel.
- Must work assigned shifts as scheduled.
