Town of Bennington Open Position The Town of Bennington Town Clerk's Office is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Town Clerk. This position requires excellent multi-tasking, clerical, and organizational skills, along with initiative, and decision-making ability. It includes typing, filing, telephone skills, ability to work well with other employees and the general public as well as computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.

The position is full-time with benefits, and the hourly pay rate is $21 - $24 per hour. Qualifications include at a minimum, a high school diploma, associate's degree preferred, two years' experience in a responsible clerical or administrative position, municipal experience, or experience in a law office, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
