Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, a member hospital of Dartmouth Health, is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible OB/GYN physician to join our busy practice. SVHC is an integrated, non-profit health system with a 100-year history of innovation in healthcare delivery. It includes a 99-bed hospital and 25 primary care and specialty care practices across nine locations in the greater Bennington area, as well as nearby New York and Massachusetts.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and administrative services to ensure timely patient care.
  • Abide by Dartmouth Health Bylaws for the Professional Staff and Code of Conduct.
  • Review patient records and medical histories.
  • Determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Order screening and diagnostic tests.
  • Obtain informed consent for procedures and studies.
  • Interpret test results.
  • Prescribe medications, treatments, and devices within scope and regulations.
  • Refer patients to other providers as needed.
  • Manage patient admissions and discharges if applicable.
  • Provide education, counseling, and support for managing illnesses and injuries.
  • Complete documentation promptly.
  • Provide patient and family-centered care respecting privacy and confidentiality.
  • Supervise APPs as directed.
  • Participate in CME, quality, and safety initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Living in Vermont

    • MD or DO degree
    • Post-graduate residency training
    Licensure/Certification s
    • Vermont Medical License
    • ABMS Board Certification (or eligible within 5 years)
    • Active hospital staff membership
