Assistant Customer Service Manager - Front End

Salary: $15.75 – $25.00
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000
Summary: Responsible to ensure each Front End associate provides fast, friendly, and efficient customer service. Oversees the entire Front End operation of the store including customer checkout, bottle return, break room and restroom cleaning, and parking lot and sidewalk areas. Ensures all front end policies and procedures are adhered to at all times and assists the Customer Service Manager with company programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure highest level of customer service and courtesy at all times.
- Work within company 5S efficiency standards.
- Encourage customers to use Advant Edge Card.
- Maintain a welcoming, smiles-first attitude.
- Monitor and control shrink-related items.
- Train and supervise all cashiers, bottle associates and service clerks.
- Schedule associates and perform administrative duties.
- Maintain cashier controls and security per company policies.
- Ensure adequate supplies and expense control.
- Handle cash control of all media collected at registers.
- Maintain detailed cashier logs for audits.
- Assist Customer Service Manager with Front End expenses.
- Ensure accurate, efficient order ringing.
- Record pricing errors promptly.
- Keep Front End area neat, safe, clean, and compliant with sanitation regulations.
- Maintain organized workstation per 5S standards.
- Manage Front End merchandising racks with adequate levels of merchandise.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Satisfactory performance reviews. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through. Strong communication skills. Basic literacy and computer skills.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. 1–3 years related experience.
Physical Requirements: Exposure to cold environment occasionally 1–3 hours;
Exposure to hot environment occasionally 1–3 hours;
Bending constant 5–8 hours;
Walking constant 5–8 hours;
Standing constant 5–8 hours;
Sitting occasionally 1–3 hours;

Lifting occasional 1–3 hours up to 75lbs;
Pushing/pulling frequent 3–5 hours up to 75lbs;
Lifting frequent 3–5 hours up to 50lbs;
Lifting occasional 1–3 hours up to 25lbs.
Equipment Used: Phone, computer applications, calculator, register, cleaning tools (mop, broom, rake, shovel), floor machine.
