MOR doctors are the official team physicians for the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Fire Soccer Club and DePaul University Athletics.
We are looking for a Sports Performance Clinician to join our team in Bensenville, IL. This person will report to the Sports Performance Manager to create a productive and successful environment to bridge the gap between injury and high‑level performance. This person will also work with the Clinical Research Director to assist in research implementation in the sports performance center, assisting as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:
Program Development- Develop and Market all strength and conditioning and post rehab return to play programs. This includes working with outreach programs, affiliations and community‑based programs. Examples include
- Functional Sports Assessments
- Knee
- Shoulder – overhead throwing
- Running Analysis
- Hip
- Golf Swing
- Individual bridge programs
- ACL return to sport post rehab
- Overhead Throwing post rehab
- Hip return to sports rehab
- Running analysis with program
- Adult fitness programs. Private sessions that customize and individualize approach to optimize health and fitness, well‑being, injury prevention or whatever the client’s goals are
- Assist in planning, developing, and implementing the Center’s operations, equipment required and all systematic processes
- Assist in daily operations of respective facility including but not limited to
- Checking out all clients and collecting payments
- Scheduling PRN
- Documenting all exercises and relevant subjective data
- Appropriate clinic team communication
- Maintain physical environment of facility and equipment
- Coordinate and lead referral efforts with the MOR physicians and staff
- Work with the FM to incorporate any necessary information for the quarterly staff meetings
- Meet regularly with the FM for the continuation of developing, marketing and implementing programs for the Sports Performance clinic
- Working with the Clinical Research Director to assist/facilitate any data collection within the sports performance center
- Using lower volume time periods to market services to physicians, affiliates, or other appropriate organizations
- Occasional off‑site screens, assessments, and education of teams and/or groups
- Preferably postgraduate degree in kinesiology, exercise science or athletic training.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional strength and conditioning experience in clinic, high school, college and/or professional team environment preferred.
- Experienced in developing and marketing self‑pay clinical bridge youth and adult fitness programs preferred.
- Schedule/hours of the center:
Monday through Friday, 3 pm – 8 pm, Weekends PRN - May have opportunities for field AT work or physician extending
$20-30 per hour. Compensation at MOR is determined by many factors, which may include but are not limited to, job‑related skills and level of experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
