Warehouse Associate (Second Shift)
Location: Bensenville, IL
Shift: 5:00 pm – 1:30 am (Second Shift)

About the roleFortune Fish & Gourmet seeks an enthusiastic Warehouse Associate to support our daily material handling operations during the second shift. Join a vibrant team that values quality, safety, and efficiency.
Pay rangeBase pay: $18.50 per hour – $20.50 per hour (based on skills and experience). Additional benefits may apply.
Responsibilities- Unload product from truck, container and stock them in the designated area.
- Ensure that product is properly placed on racks, shelves, or in bins according to established practice.
- Handle frozen/refrigerated products.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station or shipping department and prepare for shipping.
- Ensure that product is handled in a sanitary manner.
- Adhere to the company’s safety practices at all times.
- Mark materials with identifying information.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Arrange product in specified sequence for processing by other workers as needed.
- Drive forklift or other motorized equipment to transport items within the plant.
- Support maintaining receiving and inventory records.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Education – High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience – One to two years of related experience in material handling.
- Work ethic – A sense of urgency in meeting critical and time‑sensitive deadlines.
- Accuracy – Demonstrated ability to accurately pack product in a timely fashion; ability to lift 25–50 pounds regularly.
- Language – Basic English speaking and written proficiency.
- Mathematical – Ability to perform basic arithmetic tasks (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying).
- Combination of the above will also be considered.
- Stooping:
Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Required for a considerable amount of time, requiring full motion of lower extremities. - Kneeling:
Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knees or knees. - Crouching:
Bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine. - Reaching:
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. - Walking:
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. - Pushing:
Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward or outward. - Pulling:
Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. - Lifting:
Raising objects from a lower position to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from one position to another. Requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles. - Grasping:
Applying pressure to an object with fingers and palms. - Talking:
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Must convey detailed, important spoken instructions accurately, loudly or quickly. - Hearing:
Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; ability to receive detailed information through oral communication. - Heavy Work:
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. - Visual acuity:
Required for preparing/ analyzing data; viewing computer terminal; reading; inspection of small defects; operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment; determining accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work. - Environmental conditions:
Exposure to weather changes or temperature changes. - Noise:
Working in environment with noise requiring shouting to be heard above ambient noise level. - Hazards:
Physical conditions including proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, scaffolding, high places, or exposure to chemicals.
