As one of the nation's largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions is expanding their staff and seeking an Electrical Foreman to join the FSG Electric - Chicago team.
An Electrical Foreman will:
- Responsible, with direction from FSG Project Manager, for assigning all FSG Electric field electrician's tasks to adhere to project timelines. Work alongside and coordinate schedules with other trades. Schedule and supervise subcontractor scopes of work.
- Working with FSG Project Manager to understand project timelines and budgets.
- Responsible for coordinating materials, tools, equipment, information and appropriate manpower to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Responsible for overseeing the disposition of required office correspondence and administrative paperwork such as official forms, daily reports, time sheets/tickets, safety reports, etc.
- Responsible for reporting manpower forecasting to Project Manager by establishing work schedules and crew requirements.
- Inspect and enforce workmanship of crew to ensure that FSG quality standards are met.
- Continually train and develop subordinate staff to promote career development.
- Responsible for crew or project safety performance. Assures employees are properly trained or instructed in performance of duties to which assigned. Assures compliance with all FSG Electric safety processes and protocols. Investigates or assists in investigation and reporting of any accident or safety incidents involving jobsite employees.
The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree
- Valid Driver's License
- Experienced Electrician - commercial, construction
- MUST be able to pass a drug and background screen
- Ability to multitask while staying organized
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Positive customer service skills
- Experience in crew leading and or acting as foreman on new ground‑up construction projects.
