Furniture Medic is looking for a self‑motivated individual to perform restoration on all types of cabinetry and wood furniture. This position also requires on‑site visits to both residential and commercial customers. We specialize in providing restoration services for the insurance and moving industries. We are a family‑friendly small business that understands the importance of work‑life balance. Our office/shop is located in Bensenville, IL.

Job Responsibilities:

• This position will provide kitchen cabinet removal, repairs, and reinstallation services to our customers.
• Work within an experienced team environment to serve our customers well.
• Show initiative and take responsibility for all aspects of job.
• Maintain a positive attitude and outlook with team members and customers.
• Show up on‑time and give 100% effort for all scheduled shifts.
• Perform all services assigned carefully, promptly and efficiently.
• Develop and maintain skills and quality of production.
• Communicate with management any issues or malfunctions with equipment or product.
• Pay Rate: $22 – $27 / hour (commensurate with experience)
• Paid Training
• We provide cell phone stipend of $50 per month
• Profit sharing after 1 year of full‑time employment
• Healthcare – Company pays 40% for individual coverage
• PTO (paid time off) after 90 days you earn 6 hours per pay period
• 37k/45k, Pay Based on Experience, PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Company Vehicle

• Ability to use standard power hand tools. Proficient in set‑up and safe use of all common wood working tools including table saw, band saw, router, miter saw, drill press, stationary sanders, planer, etc.
• Thorough knowledge of cabinet construction and installation (will train).
• Cabinet installation experience is desired.
• Interest in building and woodworking
• Ability to bend and lift over 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to successfully pass a drug test and criminal background check.
• Must be available to work the following schedule:
  Mon - Fri, 8:00 - 4:30

Compensation: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour
