Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Chicago site is looking for a new Warehouse Associate to join our Air Logistics team.
Reporting to the Air Logistics Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for moving materials within the warehouse and the loading/unloading of materials onto or from vehicles utilizing a forklift, reach truck, order picker or other heavy material handling equipment. You will also be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, verification, shipping/manifesting and other duties as assigned to ensure the full and efficient operation of the Distribution Center.

- Use material handling (MH) equipment to unload incoming materials from trailers.
- Verify and receive materials into inventory.
- Marks and inventories packages for storage or transit which may include palletizing and shrink‑wrapping.
- May be required to stack pallets and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Use MH equipment to move and store materials within the warehouse.
- Use MH equipment to pick, verify and pack orders according to standard practice.
- Use MH equipment or other designated means to load goods into trailers or other transport vehicles for distribution.
- Works from pick sheet to pull product or supplies.
- Check orders against pull sheets.
- Dangerous Goods – ensuring the necessary procedures are followed, and these shipments are stored in the designated section of the warehouse.
- Maintain warehouse clean and free of debris at all times.
- Adhere to local, State, and Federal regulations inclusive, but not limited to OSHA, DOT, EPA and other government agencies.
- Overtime as needed.
- 1+ years of experience operating material handling equipment.
- 1+ years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Relevant certification required for handling any hazardous material(s).
- Schedule availability for Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM.

. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity and other relevant business considerations. Kuehne+Nagel reviews pay ranges regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay based on industry market data.
