Job Summary:

Responsible for student instruction and supervision in the classroom, lab, and direct patient care activities. Adjunct faculty will ensure the delivery and safety of care provided by students, while adhering to clinical site and patient care standards. Faculty will use technology-based instruction to sustain the course and curriculum mandated by the educational mission and goals of the College and the State of Michigan.

Responsible for upholding and supporting the program policies.

- 8 to 12 maximum students per course
- Flexible schedule, hours and days.
- Positions available at Allegan Tech Center,
South Haven & Benton Harbor campuses.

Essential Functions:

1. Instructs students in class and clinical setting.
2. Directs students to Student Affairs or the Director, Health Sciences if academic guidance or advising is required.
3. Maintains academic and clinical practice standards.
4. Monitors student progress.
5. Keeps adequate and accurate records.
6. Completes student clinical evaluations on a weekly basis and at course completion.
7. Enters final course grades as directed by Registrar.

Accountabilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Director, Health Sciences, each Adjunct faculty member is responsible for satisfying the educational, administrative, and fiscal requirements inherent in his/her position.

Job Specifications:

Associates degree in Nursing ( ADN ) required. Current Michigan RN License with a minimum of two (2) years’ full-time, non-teaching work experience in a relevant health care field. State of Michigan Nurse Aid Trainer permit. At least one year of documented long-term care experience.

This course is taught on-campus.

Hiring Range:

Hiring Range: $61 per contract hour
