Inter Care is searching for a Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team! Work Hours: Monday - Thursday; 10-hour/days or Monday - Friday: 8-hour/days, with evening hours as necessary.
Minimum Requirements- Current license to practice as a registered nurse or physician assistant in Michigan, as applicable: specialty certification as a nurse practitioner, and continued certification.
- DEA and Controlled Substances Certification/license
- All other LIP credentialing and privileging requirements and maintaining a minimum of BLS certification.
- Thorough working knowledge of prevailing standards of care, Inter Care's clinical guidelines, patient care policies and procedures, and applicable accreditation and PCMH standards.
- Thorough working knowledge of medical coding and documentation requirements.
Functions collaboratively with the Provider, the Health Center Manager, and the Director of Operations to care for all patients compassionately.
Description Of PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Provides efficient and effective patient care according to adopted clinical standards relevant to the appropriate scope of licensure and certification.
- Meets established peer review outcomes.
- Meets daily productivity targets.
- Pediatric: 22 patients per 8-hour day
- Family Practice: 20 patients per 8-hour day
- Internal Medicine: 18 patients per 8-hour day
- Meets patient satisfaction expectations.
- Meets coding documentation standards in EHR.
- Has received no relevant clinical concerns within the Safety Zone Portal.
- Engages fully in Inter Care's PCMH service delivery model.
- Strives to achieve UDS expected outcome measures and Meaningful Use requirements.
- Completes inbox/PAQ items within designated timeframe.
- Participates constructively as a clinical team member.
- Communicates readily with Inter Care's CEO and CMO on matters of shared concern and provides input on pending matters upon request.
- Meets staff satisfaction expectations.
- Participates in share of call schedule responsibilities.
- Communicates openly with partners and site manager regarding call schedules, time off requests, and related coverage issues.
- Regularly attends provider, site, and assigned committee meetings as appropriate.
- Reads and responds to emails in a timely manner as outlined in policy.
- Engages in practice improvement initiatives.
- Participates in emergency response efforts upon request.
- Displays compassionate, ethical and professional demeanor.
- Consistently strives to develop the leadership attributes identified by Inter Care's Provider Success Profile.
- Maintains a positive leadership presence in the clinic setting.

- Demonstrates proficiency in Electronic Health Record.
- Demonstrates the ability to use and respond to email on a regular basis.
- Demonstrates the ability to use other Inter Care desktop tools including incident reporting, eLearning system, and ITAC.
- Possesses a professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear, effective manner.
- Possesses excellent cross cultural communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally to patients, prospective employees, vendors, business associates and staff members at all levels.
Job duties are performed in the typical office environment of the organization. The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include:
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, frequently sit, and lift up to 25 lbs
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, reach with arms & hands, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and manipulate (using keyboard, office equipment)
- Visual acuity to use keyboard, operate office equipment, and read printed material and regularly required to talk and hear.
