• Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
• Learn about products using available tools and provide information to customers to help sell an entire project.
• Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in their department; know how to handle basics in adjacent departments.
• Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure it is clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty, and working safely to avoid endangering themselves, coworkers, vendors, or customers.
• Collaborate with the Department Supervisor and other associates in their department and across departments as needed.
• Support store departments such as Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental.
