SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST – Special Education and Evaluation Services Program

Qualifications
  • Valid Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices (TSPC) School Psychologist license, or the ability to obtain, is required.
  • A Master’s degree or higher from a NASP accredited school psychologist program and/or hold a current NCSP certificate.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in special education.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in cognitive, behavioral, and academic testing and related skills.
  • Such alternatives to certain above qualifications may apply as deemed appropriate by the Superintendent and/or Board of Directors.

  • Maintain compliance with state and federal laws governing all aspects of our agency including ORS, OAR, IDEA, FOIA, and CIPA.
  • Exceptional prioritization of tasks, timely completion of work assignments, ability to take the initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates respectful, flexible and effective teambuilding skills of cooperation, communication and active participation.
  • Present self and LBL in a professional manner including: in oral and written communication, professional disposition when working with others and maintaining professional dress standards.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directives, find requested data and present in user-friendly formats for internal and public distribution.
  • Maintain regular attendance  punctual in meeting deadlines, attending meetings, and following schedules.
  • Utilize teleservice platform to provide services to educators, students and district staff as directed.
  • Ability to lift, carry at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time in a vehicle or work setting.
  • Essential Functions
  • Conduct individual evaluations in cognitive, behavioral, and academic areas as well as other areas that may be assigned.
  • Provide comprehensive written report of observations, assessment results, and recommendations within the standards established by the Education Evaluation and Consultation Center.
  • Consult with school personnel regarding individual student program needs.
  • Consult with district personnel on MTSS, RtI and tiered intervention systems.
  • Assist districts in complying with federal special education law requirements including pre-referral and compliance.
  • Participate in professional research and improvement science practices to maintain up-to-date systems and practices.
  • Assist with in-service training for component district personnel.
  • Provide colleague mentoring and/or intern and practicum student supervision support, as needed.
  • Salary and Benefit Information
    • Licensed employees are represented by Linn Benton Lincoln Education Association.
    • Salary and benefit information shown are based on full-time employment (1.0 FTE) based on the 24-25 FY. Amounts will be updated with the current school year amounts once bargaining has concluded.
    • Placement on the Linn Benton Lincoln ESD licensed salary schedule will be commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training, and experience.
    • Linn Benton Lincoln ESD will provide an Insurance CAP to assist with health, dental and vision insurance premiums.
    • Employer paid PERS, holidays, sick leave and personal days are also provided.
    • Employer paid Life Insurance 1 x annual salary.
    • Employer paid Basic AD&D and Long Term Disability.
