Description
The Rental Turnaround Technician is responsible for providing high-quality repair service on rental equipment to meet customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner, ensuring maximum value for work performed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-work metrics.
- Work safely and follow all Riggs safety policies and procedures.
- Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete jobs (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, BMTS) accurately and promptly.
- Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
- Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
- Complete all assigned training in a timely and proficient manner.
- Support the Rental Operations process by evaluating quick repairs, fluid top-offs, and daily inspections of rental equipment returning from customer jobsites.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Knowledge of engines, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems, and components.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, laptops, diagnostic software, and cranes and rigging equipment.
- Ability to provide accurate information to management for quoting.
- Must obtain or currently possess adequate tooling to perform all duties.
- High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 years of related experience and/or training.
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate field vehicles.
- Certification required prior to operating a forklift and/or man lift.
- May require DOT physical and MSHA certification.
- Flexibility to work various schedules, including shifts, overtime, and on-call.
While performing this job, employees are required to stand, walk, handle, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, and balance. Occasionally, sitting or smelling may be required. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Employees routinely lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, wet/humid conditions, high places, fumes, weather extremes, electrical shock, and vibration. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. Noise level is usually moderate. Travel up to 20% may be required.
