Job Description
Transports materials over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles. Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders. Ensure that material loaded on the truck is as listed on the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and is secured for safe transport from store to destination. Unload materials for customers at each delivery location in an orderly fashion while verifying that material is correct based on the Ship Ticket.
Perform daily detailed inspection of vehicle to ensure general maintenance and safety of vehicle. Responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing products for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in an orderly fashion.
This is a safety‑sensitive position; the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates must undergo a pre‑employment drug test. The test screens for amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines. Medical marijuana is not considered an exempt medical condition under federal regulations.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proficiency with Android or iOS operating systems.
- Valid driver’s license; minimum 3 years of driving history.
- Satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) with no Type A violations exceeding 15 mph over limit within past 3 years and no more than one Type B violation.
- At least 1 year of experience operating a commercial motor vehicle with a GVWR of 10,001 lbs. or greater within the last 36 months.
- Strong skills in reading, writing, basic calculations, data entry, reasoning, and analysis.
- Ability to work independently while managing a variety of tasks accurately and with attention to detail in a team‑oriented environment.
- Must meet FMCSA Section 391.41 physical qualifications for motor vehicle operation.
- Frequent walking, bending, squatting, climbing, and kneeling; occasional pushing, pulling, and reaching.
- Handling/lifting objects up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
