We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex tax issues, including corporate returns, partnership returns, and participating in complex tax planning with clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of the tax code, and proficiency with various accounting software.
The Tax Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with securities law, and supporting strategic financial planning initiatives. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our financial operations and supporting our growth in diverse markets.
- Prepare and review business tax returns:
1120, 1120S, 1065
, and related schedules - Prepare individual tax returns as needed
- Conduct tax research on complex issues and provide solutions
- Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify discrepancies, and provide updates
- Assist with extensions, estimated payments, and tax planning projections
- Maintain strong working knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Ensure accurate, timely filing and compliance
- Collaborate with team members during peak periods to meet deadlines
- Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books and other financial tools for bookkeeping and financial statement preparation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/EA certification preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in tax accounting, public accounting, or corporate accounting roles.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Quick Books, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; experience with financial software like financial analysis tools is desirable.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
- 5–7 years of professional tax preparation experience (public accounting preferred)
- Strong attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for financial report writing and interpretation.
