Position Summary What You’ll Do
As a member of the US Domestic Transportation Operational Analytics Team, you will create and maintain complex analytics business intelligence products/pipelines, analyze business data, identify trends, and support process improvements to drive operational efficiency in Walmart’s transportation network.
About the TeamYou’ll join the US Domestic Transportation Operational Analytics Team based in Bentonville, AR, working closely with cross‑functional partners to optimize transportation operations using advanced analytics and business intelligence products.
What You’ll Do- Analyze business data and metrics to support the development of business cases and recommendations.
- Identify and validate data sources, ensuring data quality and relevance for analytics projects.
- Develop and present data visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Support data quality management activities, including profiling, cleansing, and validation.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to implement solutions.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (such as Python, R, Tableau, Power
BI). - Strong understanding of business operations and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience with data quality management and database technologies (SQL, No
SQL). - Effective communication skills to present findings to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively and mentor junior team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business analysis, or a related field.
- Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of data quality management and data governance practices.
- You have 4+ years of experience in transportation or supply chain analytics.
- You have hands‑on experience with advanced statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis.
- You have a track record of supporting process improvements through data‑driven recommendations.
