Senior Construction Materials Field Technician I

. ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician I to join our Bentonville team. This role provides professional development with additional incentives as you advance your skills and gain experience. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced project management professionals to safely perform a variety of tasks in the Field Services department.

Activities:
Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites. Execute tasks based on project requirements under guidance of senior technicians, staff professionals, and project managers. - Testing Procedures:
Conduct routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance. - Data Collection:
Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling, test results, and inspections; engage in drafting and other administrative duties as required; prepare field reports documenting site observations. - Communication:
Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; keep supervisor and project teams informed of changing site conditions and additional testing requested; attend project meetings with senior staff as required. - Training and Development:
Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing; document findings with precision in accordance with accepted engineering practices.
- 2+ years of related experience.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must maintain current basic level certifications and an additional 2 advanced certifications.
- OSHA 10 is a plus.
- Position requires carrying 40-70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height.
- Valid driver's license and insurance.
- Suitable transportation for job sites – mileage reimbursed.
- Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
- Excellent understanding of heavy construction safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work with clients, peers, and supervisors.
- Proficient with electronic devices such as phones, tablets, laptops.
- Strong math skills and ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
