ECS Limited offers a unique opportunity for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our [CITY] team and advance in a dynamic work environment. No prior experience is needed, as you'll work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn to perform a variety of tasks safely and effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials such as soils, aggregates, and concrete at construction sites; execute tasks based on project requirements under supervision.
  • Testing Procedures: Perform routine tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete following industry standards using various methodologies and equipment.
  • Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction from sampling and testing; assist with documentation and administrative duties as needed.
  • Communication: Maintain daily communication with site personnel and project managers; report site conditions and testing needs; participate in project meetings; organize and maintain field equipment.
  • Training and Development: Receive training in ECS methodologies for observations, inspections, and testing; document findings accurately following engineering standards.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • No experience necessary.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift at least 85 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Willingness to learn heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
  • Interest in obtaining knowledge of CMT principles, ASTM standards, and certifications in soils, concrete, and radiation safety.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.
