Part‑time schedule
Tuesdays, Thursdays 3pm-8:15pm;
Saturdays 8:45am-5:15pm (18.5 hours per week)

Brief

Job Summary:

Works under the supervision of the Children's Librarian and plays an integral role in the library’s youth services team. The role implements public services, policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with the library’s mission.

• Develop and present lesson plans to meet specific literacy needs of children, including story times, library education, and summer reading programs.
• Monitor the condition of the children's department.
• Provide reference and reader‑advisor services to all library users, focusing on children, teens, parents, and teachers.
• Apply elementary principles of library and information sciences.

• One year college or technical school certificate, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
