Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness, managed by Health Fitness, is looking for Youth Camp Counselors to join the team at our state-of-the-art facility in Bentonville, Arkansas (AR). In this position, you will assist with kids camps scheduled when public schools are closed.

Shifts will be 7:15am-5:45pm; hours per week will vary based on the camp schedule. Additional opportunity to work summer camp (May-August).
Responsible for leading, supporting, engaging, and motivating youth in activity programs. Will assist in developing youth programs and leading and mentoring program participants.
Key AccountabilitiesEnthusiastically lead and support participants through program activities.
Monitor participants to ensure compliance with rules, prevent accidents, and identify inappropriate behaviors.
Proactively address and deescalate inappropriate behavior.
Provide corrective direction to help participants learn appropriate actions and to make positive behavioral choices.
Work with program coordinator and program staff to plan and coordinate activities.
Maintain, clean and ensure proper use of facilities and equipment.
Supervise children ranging from ages [insert age range if applicable].
Clean up after the children every shift.
Play games and other activities with the children.
Make sure the children are checked in and out by parents.
Nurture sharing, sportsmanship and other social skills.
Escort the children to the playground and ball fields.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Adult and pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Council, or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date.
Robust ability to actively lead and engage youth.
Strong verbal communication skills with both children and adults.
Active listing skills and ability to relate to and provide fun, engaging, safe activities for youth of different backgrounds.
Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision.
Ability to be a positive role model for program participants.
Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
Compensation: $15.00 - $16.48/hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
