Bentonville studio (remote/hybrid options for candidates with sufficient experience).
Mechanical Designer I focuses on HVAC and plumbing design for retail buildings and remodeling projects across the United States. Entry‑level with potential for remote/hybrid as experience grows.
Responsibilities- Assist Mechanical Engineer and/or Mechanical Design Team in designing, implementing, and drafting construction documents for HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Use Revit to create construction documents, ensuring compliance with national standards (IMC, IPC, ASHRAE).
- Coordinate with architects, other engineers, and clients to develop documents per project requirements.
- Execute project production schedules and perform quality control on own work before submission to Mechanical Engineer for final review.
- Travel to projects as required and become familiar with tools such as Trane Trace.
- Possibly engage directly with clients on a regular basis, depending on project/client needs.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of HVAC/plumbing design experience (entry‑level) or some experience for remote/hybrid consideration.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit with understanding of national codes.
- Ability to work collaboratively under a licensed professional engineer.
- Strong communication skills and organizational abilities.
