Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with hands on coding expertise in Spark and Java. We are looking for someone skilled in Telemetry, Big Data and backend engineering to help implement an application for large retailer. Domain experience in IoT systems, HVAC/refrigeration equipment, and other mechanical solutions is highly desired to have a better understanding of the project and be able to communicate with business stakeholders.

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong cloud platform experience, GCP preferred
• Expertise in Spark for pipeline development
• Experience with Java and Java platforms
• Strong SQL experience
• Strong Big Data experience
• Telemetry experience
• Streaming experience with analytics and data processing
• Business analytics experience and working directly with business partners to implement feedback Strong Python experience
• Strong understanding of IoT systems, especially in:
  Refrigeration units, HVAC systems, Controllers and sensors
• Familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar
• Ability to explain how data flows through IoT units and how sensors are designed and monitored
