As an Electrical Project Engineer supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will join the Power Systems team specializing in end-of-life analyses, short circuit coordination, arc flash analyses, and other specialized calculations. The Electrical Engineering Designer - Power Systems is responsible for implementing these aspects into electrical engineering projects under the guidance of Electrical Engineers/Project Managers. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will be coordinating with Site/Civil Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Structural Engineers, Architects and Construction Project Managers.
You will be responsible for the production of electrical engineering construction documents while adhering to client requirements, code requirements and site adjustments.
- Produce electrical design plans, calculations, reports, and construction documents with limited direction.
- Resolve complex electrical design challenges related to power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, code compliance, constructability, and coordination with other disciplines.
- Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations.
- Generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
- Coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
- Develop and mentor electrical engineering staff through technical guidance, project feedback, and support of professional growth.
- Lead production staff through assigned tasks and review work for accuracy, completeness, coordination, and quality.
- Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role.

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred
- 5+ years of experience in electrical power systems design, preferably with commercial project experience such as retail, pharmaceutical, grocery, industrial, data center, etc.
- PE required
- Revit required
- AutoCAD and SKM Power Tools is a plus
- Familiar with different kinds of electrical equipment such as switch gear, MCCs, generators, VFDs, UPS, is a plus
