Equine Assisted Occupational Therapist Assistant

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our growing team  OT will evaluate, plan, and provide individualized treatment for children with a variety of needs, including gross motor development, gait training, strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and functional mobility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
  • Provide direct equine‑assisted therapy sessions using evidence‑based, play‑centered approaches.
  • Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Complete documentation requirements in the EMR system.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and community outreach as needed.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state COTA license (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Pediatric experience preferred; willingness to grow into pediatric specialty required.
  • Horse knowledge and experience with horses preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for helping children reach their fullest potential.
