JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Excellence Lead / Director of Developer Productivity to drive engineering and operational excellence across the organization. In this role, you will define strategy, champion developer productivity initiatives, and partner with platform and engineering teams to elevate system resiliency and operational performance. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in large-scale enterprise systems, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring frameworks.

You will serve as a thought leader, ensuring best practices are adopted across the organization while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify, develop, and execute opportunities to raise the bar on engineering and operational excellence.
• Provide thought leadership and define strategy for developer productivity initiatives.
• Partner with Platform and Engineering teams to drive adoption of CI/CD tools and processes.
• Establish measurable goals to reduce incidents, improve resiliency, and drive accountability.
• Champion engineering and operational excellence goals across the organization.
• Lead architecture initiatives to increase platform resiliency for complex business processes.
• Serve as the single point of contact for driving cloud optimizations in partnership with the SRE team.
• Take bold, calculated risks and introduce innovative solutions.
• Apply hands-on knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS with experience in both public and private cloud offerings.

• 10+ years of experience leading engineering teams, engineering excellence, or developer productivity initiatives.
• Proven experience with public cloud (Azure/GCP) and private cloud environments.
• Strong background in enterprise system architecture, developing large-scale, resilient platforms.
• Track record of driving test automation and enabling single-click deployments.
• Proficiency in Java, SQL, No
  
  SQL, Messaging, Queuing, and Caching technologies.
• Strong expertise in Networking concepts, Security, CDNs, Cloud Services (Azure and GCP preferred), Dev Ops, and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing best practices in logging, monitoring, and alerting with tools such as Prometheus/Grafana, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a “go-getter” attitude to collaborate across organizations.

• Demonstrated success driving engineering culture change in large-scale organizations.
• Prior leadership in developer productivity or platform engineering teams.
• Familiarity with cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure.

Relevant cloud certifications (Azure or GCP) preferred.

Kubernetes or Dev Ops-related certifications a plus.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
