Position Summary...

At Walmart, Catalog is a foundational enterprise platform that supports nearly every part of the business, including merchandising, compliance, pricing, supply chain, fulfillment, store operations, ecommerce, and global expansion. The Item Integrity team is responsible for defining and evolving the core item data model, item relationships, and data quality standards that enable these systems to work together at scale.

Our mission is to ensure that item data is accurate, trusted, interoperable, and built for both today’s operations and tomorrow’s intelligent automation. We modernize legacy assumptions, strengthen product identity, reduce friction in item and offer setup, and build scalable capabilities that allow the catalog to increasingly maintain and improve itself.

As a Senior Manager on the Item Integrity team, you will operate at the intersection of platform strategy, data systems, and enterprise execution. You will help shape how Walmart defines, protects, and scales item data across omnichannel contexts, while driving concrete outcomes across multiple high-impact initiatives.

This is a platform-oriented leadership role that blends strategy, execution, and systems thinking. You will be expected to connect business needs to durable technical solutions, challenge existing mental models, and drive clarity in complex environments where modern platforms are being built and legacy systems are being modernized.

You will partner closely with product managers, engineers, architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders across merchandising, ecommerce, supply chain, and operations. Your work will span multiple domains and evolve as priorities shift, requiring strong judgment, adaptability, systems thinking, and an enterprise perspective.

What you’ll do...
  • Driving clarity in ambiguous spaces by aligning teams on goals, scope, requirements, and prioritization.

  • Translating ambitious business goals into sequenced execution, identifying gaps, defining requirements, and aligning cross-functional teams.

  • Shaping and driving platform strategy for Walmart’s item data model, item relationships, catalog data quality, and item integrity capabilities.

  • Advancing catalog modernization efforts
, including self-cleaning capabilities, legacy relationship transformation, and centralized data foundations.

  • Partnering closely with product, engineering, and architects to translate strategic goals into scalable, extensible platform designs.

  • Providing operational visibility and accountability through metrics, risk management, dependency management, and executive-ready communication.

  • Championing enterprise outcomes by ensuring catalog systems are accurate, trustworthy, interoperable, and built to support future automation and intelligence.

What you’ll bring...
  • Are intellectually curious and motivated by modernizing foundational systems to enable automation and smarter decision making.
  • Are a systems thinker who understands how data models, platforms, and business processes interact at enterprise scale.
  • Think holistically across online, stores, marketplace, and global contexts and naturally challenge siloed ways of working.
  • Are energized by pioneering solutions in spaces where the path forward is not yet defined and requires creativity and strong judgment.
  • Enjoy solving hard problems that require experimentation, learning, and thoughtful tradeoffs.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and business audiences, including peers and senior leaders, and can simplify complex concepts without losing rigor.
  • Practice active listening and can sift through competing or contradictory stakeholder inputs to identify the real problem and the right way forward.
  • Move seamlessly between architecture discussions, strategic framing, and executive level communication.
  • Bring a strong owner mindset with a bias to action and the ability to balance short-term pragmatism with long-term platform health.
  • Have experience leading complex platform or data-centric initiatives at enterprise scale.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in product management, program…
