Position Summary
Join Walmart’s Enterprise Business Services (EBS) as a key member of our Finance Master Data team, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and governance of critical master data that fuels financial reporting worldwide.
What you'll doAs a data steward and compliance specialist, you will:
- SOX and Governance
:
Identify required controls, coordinate with GIC and audit teams, and maintain compliance risk management. - Master Data Controls Monitoring
:
Oversee and monitor controls to preserve data integrity. - Project Management
:
Support global initiatives from a master‑data and compliance perspective. - Guidance & Support
:
Provide expert advice to business units on master‑data and compliance processes. - Financial Reconciliation & Reporting
:
Reconcile master data and generate accurate metrics. - Data Research
:
Analyze system data to meet business needs and improve quality. - Execution & Validation
:
Review and approve requests, validating across systems.
- Financial Acumen
:
Strong understanding of financial principles. - Attention to Detail
:
Thorough data management skills. - Influence & Communication
:
Ability to influence stakeholders and explain complex concepts. - ERP & Consolidation Knowledge
:
Experience with ERP and financial consolidation systems. - Database Management
:
Proficient with various databases, including cloud sources. - Process Controls & Governance
:
Deep knowledge of process controls. - 8‑15 years of relevant field experience (highly preferred).

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Architecture, or related field AND 5 years’ experience in data stewardship, management, or analytics (Option 1)
- 7 years’ experience in the same field (Option 2)
- Master’s degree in the same field AND 3 years’ experience (Option 3)
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Data Management certification (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional)
- Experience developing taxonomy for large, complex data sets
- Industry experience in retail, supply chain, eCommerce, or healthcare
- Advanced degree in Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Architecture
- Prior supervisory experience.
