The Manager, Vendor Management oversees supplier relationships and contract compliance to ensure alignment with program objectives and operational efficiency. This role manages procurement timelines, coordinates contract awards, and drives process improvements by benchmarking and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The position fosters strong partnerships, supports team development, and ensures adherence to company policies and ethical standards. By leveraging data and maintaining accurate tracking systems, the manager contributes to cost containment and continuous enhancement of procurement and vendor management practices, supporting Walmart's commitment to operational excellence and customer value.

The Vendor Management team delivers a standardized, compliant, and risk-based program ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of fire suppression systems across retail and supply chain locations. This team safeguards life safety, property, and business operations by managing vendor relationships, contract compliance, and business processes. The team collaborates cross-functionally to meet organizational goals, promotes continuous learning, and upholds high standards of integrity and operational excellence to support Walmart's mission and values.

What you'll do:

• Negotiate contract terms with vendors to ensure cost containment and alignment with program objectives.
• Oversee supplier workload prioritization and maintain effective communication channels for contract schedules and technical information.
• Evaluate and improve contracting processes by benchmarking and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate contract awards, documentation, and vendor notifications.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support business needs and initiatives.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in vendor relationship management and contract compliance within complex procurement environments.
• Strong ability to manage multiple databases and tracking tools to ensure accuracy of project deadlines and supplier schedules.
• Expertise in negotiating contract terms and overseeing supplier workload aligned with program objectives and timelines.
• Demonstrated skills in process improvement, benchmarking, and implementing best practices in procurement and contracting.
• Proficiency with procurement software and databases such as SAP, spreadsheets, and forecasting tools.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong leadership capabilities including mentoring, coaching, and developing team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience in security systems, contracting, procurement, or related area OR 4 years' experience in security systems, contracting, procurement, or related area.
