Overview
We are seeking a Manager, Retail Consultancy to work on a large CPG client. The Manager will own duties necessary to support customer project execution, leading projects end‑to‑end from briefing to media and creative development, timeline management, client and vendor relationships, communication, budget/financial management, and activation. The role also includes leading tactic‑specific creative development and ensuring executional elements are completed on time, in scope, and within budget.
Candidate must reside within a commutable distance of Mars United Commerce's Minneapolis office.
- Collaborate with internal cross‑functional teams (Strategic Planning & Analytics, Marilyn, Media, Client Leadership, and Creative) to develop actionable strategies, concepts, and tactics.
- Oversee and direct the work of the Sr. Account Executive and/or Account Executive assigned to the business, ensuring clear duties and timelines.
- Manage the implementation of key client projects and maintain project timelines and budgets.
- Build strong working relationships with assigned retailer client contacts and external vendors/agencies.
- Execute approved programs, including ensuring Ad Ops/tagging requirements and reporting are performed by the ad ops specialist.
- Activate and maintain partnership relationships with other manufacturers or property owners.
- Identify retailer direct and manufacturer platforms for program execution.
- Proactively communicate project status and budget to client teams.
- Collaborate with internal teams on planning and implementing retail marketing extensions of brand and category programs for national retainer clients.
- Manage the client approval process and measure post‑promotion results using agency and client‑provided data.
- Travel as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in retail marketing or media.
- Proven project management experience.
- Experience working with retail media networks and media vendors.
- Strategic thinking in the development of shopper‑marketing programs and day‑to‑day business management.
- Sound decision‑making skills based on industry knowledge.
- Passion for business and a drive to improve and grow assigned client accounts.
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to dive in and get the job done right.

Compensation range: $73,910–$106,260 annually (2025). The Company reserves the right to adjust the pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible for a medical plan and 401(k) participation through a third‑party benefits administration system once certain criteria are met. For regular roles, full benefits packages apply.
