What You'll Do

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining all outdoor areas and landscaping to ensure the property meets Blake St's high standards through comprehensive lawn care, plant maintenance, and seasonal treatments. This role involves operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment, supporting outdoor facility upkeep including seating areas and event spaces, and responding to weather-related challenges such as snow removal and storm cleanup. The position requires close collaboration with Facilities and Housekeeping teams while following strict safety procedures when handling tools, chemicals, and machinery.

Our ideal candidate will be available to work days, nights and/or weekends.

$21.00 to $23.00 per hour

• Mow, edge, and trim lawns; maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
• Plant, water, prune, fertilize, and mulch as needed.
• Rake leaves, clear debris, and keep walkways and patios tidy.
• Apply seasonal treatments (seeding, aerating, fertilizing, pest/weed control).

• Maintain outdoor seating, umbrellas, planters, lighting, and décor.
• Inspect and clean pathways, fences, patios, and parking areas.
• Support maintenance staff by keeping pool/spa surrounding areas clean and safe.
• Assist with setup and takedown for outdoor events.

• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment (mowers, blowers, trimmers, etc.).
• Perform routine checks and light maintenance on equipment.
• Follow safety procedures when using tools, chemicals, and machinery.

• Snow/ice removal or salting in winter.
• Storm cleanup, including branches, water pooling, or debris removal.

• Work closely with Facilities and Housekeeping teams to ensure grounds meet Blake St’s high standards.
• Assist with special projects as assigned by the Director of Facilities.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

• Must be 21 years or older.
• At least 2 years in a commercial maintenance or housekeeping position, preferred.
• 1 year experience in landscaping preferred.
• Must be able to lift, push and carry heavy equipment.
• Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe.
• Remain stationary for long periods of time.
