The National Account Manager, will be responsible for sales growth of both existing and new distribution across Walmart USA, Canada, and Sam’s Club. This will include both private label and branded business portfolio. The role will include working to lead our new distribution of both private label and branded business and most importantly expand our portfolio from online into store presence to include promotional buys, test stores and ultimately regional or full chain distribution.
The role will require collaboration with our existing online team and be the key sales owner with the merchant team for offline and online sales alike. The successful candidate will need to collaborate with product and marketing teams to develop key marketing and promotional activities to execute in support of growth. This position is responsible for generating long-term profitable sales to achieve strategic business objectives including sales and margin goals.
This includes developing strong long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders including merchants, logistics, operations, marketing, and IT staff. In addition, the National Account Manager – Walmart and Sam’s Club is expected to possess a deep understanding of accounts processes and systems (ie. their approach to business). This includes, among other things, detailed sales reporting and insight generation, new item listings, sales forecasting, inventory fulfilment, merchandising support, regular POS and assortment analysis, promotional planning, and all daily maintenance processes.
The candidate must possess a can-do attitude and be willing to generate new business within the assigned customers. The National Account Manager – Walmart and Sam’s Club must possess a collaborative spirit in working cross-functionally with the larger marketing and operations teams to support the overall growth of the SENIX brand.
- Research and develop sales opportunities and plans, understanding customer requirements, identifying market trends.
- Manage existing and new online assortment across Walmart and Sam’s Club
- Grow the in‑store distribution across Walmart and Sam’s with branded and private label
- Promote, sell, and secure orders by communicating with appropriate decision makers on a regular basis through emails, phone calls, in‑person visits, and presentations, while building rapport and learning their needs.
- Actively develop the account and maintain business relationships with current and prospective partners within the channel to generate new business.
- Implement new sales plans, as well as develop promotions and campaigns
- Work with the marketing team in creation of relevant marketing material and promotions for your customers
- Maintain monthly activity reports detailing new business meetings, progress and next steps as well as other relevant reports and analysis to management.
- Manage product offering, recommend pricing levels and establishing sales strategy according to company policies and objectives.
- Provide the company with new product ideas, market trends, territory market data, sales growth strategies, and competitive intelligence.
- Travel to trade shows and various events for customers representing the company and brand.
