**** POSITION SUMMARY
**** The Avionic Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, modification, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems across multiple aircraft platforms. This position conducts performance checks of instrumentation and avionics systems to ensure continuous, acceptable system performance in accordance with FAA regulations and King Aerospace policies and procedures.**## Qualifications
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Interpret and install avionic systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents with minimal or no supervision.
* Responsible for inspecting components of avionics equipment for defects and examine accuracy of assembly and installation.
* Ensure avionics equipment compliance with FARs, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins, and company procedures.
* Determine and verify airworthiness of avionics maintenance performed.
* Maintain comprehensive records of repairs, calibrations, inspections, and testing activities.
* Align, adjust, and calibrate avionics equipment according to approved specifications.
* Ensure that only tooling and equipment in current calibration is utilized for installation, repairs, or modifications of aircraft avionics/electronic systems.
* Test malfunctioning equipment and diagnose root causes using knowledge of electronic systems and components.
* Inspect and test aircraft communications components, navigation components, weather radar, auto pilot, compass systems, and accessories, certifying that all meet manufacturer’s specifications.
* Responsible for completing all reports, forms, and checklists as required, in accordance with company, government, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.

**** EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
**** High school diploma or general education degree (GED).  Minimum two years’ aircraft repair and maintenance experience in the last five (5) years.
**** COMMUNICATION SKILLS
**** Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, installation drawings, regulations, and professional journals. Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence and effectively present information to management, customers, and team members.
**** MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
**** Ability to apply mathematical concepts including percentages, proportions, and algebraic principles to technical applications.
**** REASONING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS
**** Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in written, mathematical, or diagram form.
**** COMPUTER SKILLS
**** Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
**** OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
*** Ability to obtain and maintain a TSA Ramp Pass.
* FAA Airframe certificate preferred.
* Valid driver’s license required.
* Ability to work varied shifts and operate in military-access environments.
