Walmart is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of Walmart US SAP Payroll systems, with a strong focus on SAP HCM Payroll and related HR technologies. The ideal candidate brings 20+ years of SAP functional and HR ABAP technical hands‑on expertise, combined with proven leadership in large‑scale enterprise payroll transformations, system modernization, and cloud adoption strategies.

This leader will guide engineering teams, collaborate with HR/payroll business stakeholders, ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, and deliver high‑quality, highly scalable payroll solutions for one of the world’s largest work forces.

• Timely execution of a product and technical roadmap, focusing beyond delivering for the business and continuously improving robustness and quality of our application.
• Work closely with partners across disciplines, collaborating with product design and engineering teams across multiple teams.
• Be hands‑on in the careers of the associates that report to you, hiring, providing growth opportunities, encouraging and mentoring engineers, and giving timely feedback on performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering.
• 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• 2 years supervisory experience.

• Master’s degree in a related field and 3 years’ experience in software engineering.
• Experience creating inclusive digital experiences, implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating accessibility seamlessly.
