Senior Java Developer

The Role UST is searching for an experienced Senior Java Developer with 7-10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing scalable enterprise applications using Java technologies.

What You’ll Do
· Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications and Microservices.
· Build scalable REST APIs and integrate with third-party services.
· Develop and maintain Kafka-based messaging systems for real-time data processing.
· Implement secure and high-performance applications using Spring Security and Spring Boot.
· Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker.
· Optimize database queries and improve application performance.
· Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and production support activities.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
· Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.

What You Need
· Experience Range: 7-10+ Years
· 7+ years of experience in Java application development.
· Strong experience with Java 8/11/17, Spring Framework, and enterprise application development.
· Hands-on experience with:
· Spring Boot
· Spring MVC
· Spring Security
· Spring IOC
· Spring AOP
· Hibernate/JPA
· Experience in designing and developing RESTful Web Services and Microservices architecture.
· Strong knowledge of Kafka for real-time messaging, event-driven architecture, and stream processing.
· Experience with Docker and Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation.
· Strong understanding of Microservices design patterns and distributed systems.
· Experience in data analysis and data-driven solutions using SQL.
· Proficiency in database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
· Hands-on experience with JIRA for sprint planning, tracking, and defect management.
· Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
· Experience with Kubernetes/Open Shift.
· Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.
· Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks.

Location & Compensation Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
