VP of Engineering

KFC needs a hands-on VP of Engineering who can architect, code, and deploy without losing sight of quality. The shape of it is simple — bring 13 years and .NET Core, take home $233,000 - $326,000, and grow into whatever KFC builds next.

• Refactor the technology module KFC has been afraid to touch
• Drive adoption of best practices in testing, security, and observability
• Profile and refactor legacy code to reduce technical debt over time
• Tune database queries and schemas for high-throughput KFC workloads
• Untangle the Git dependency knots that have slowed Bentonville releases for months
• Shave milliseconds off the technology hot path that KFC users feel every click
• Own data integrity across KFC's Innovation stores so Bentonville numbers never lie
• Prototype rough Cypress ideas fast, then decide which earn a place in KFC's stack

• An appetite for ownership that scales with the stakes
• The discipline to finish the boring 20% that makes the rest matter
• Customer-focused outlook with strong interpersonal skills
• A learner's pace that keeps up with shifting requirements

The oddball-friendly culture at KFC is what keeps our Bentonville, AR team building remarkable things together. We pair junior and senior folks on purpose so Git knowledge stops hoarding in one head.

The bottom line: $233,000 - $326,000, mentorship, benefits, and flexibility, wrapped into a VP of Engineering role that grows as fast as you do.
