The Postgraduate Success Manager will contribute to the overall mission of the Office of Internships & Career Development, with the primary responsibility of overseeing the Berea Corps Program, an externally funded program that employs recent Berea College graduates in positions across campus for up to two years. Oversight of the program includes managing all aspects of the program, including hiring and strategic mentoring the employees during their time in the program;

engaging with their supervisors and ensuring clarity in their role as Berea Corps supervisors; creating dynamic professional development workshops and opportunities for the employees, and managing the grant‑funded program budget. The Manager also collaborates with the Alumni, Communications and Philanthropy team to develop and implement an Alumni mentoring program.

  • Direct the Berea Corps Program, including hiring processes, employee mentorship, supervisor engagement, and a robust professional development program
  • Develop and implement a robust annual educational workshop series for program participants, often leading the workshops or managing all aspects of engaging guest speakers/leaders, including any contractual agreements and stipends.
  • Utilize Career Launch and Linked In Learning to create individualized career development plans for cohort members
  • Host individual and group coaching sessions throughout the cohort lifecycle to support employee career action plan creation and execution
  • Manage program budget, required grant reporting, promotions, recruitment and assessment
  • Implement and sustain a qualitative and quantitative impact and effectiveness study for Berea Corps members post program participation.
  • In collaboration with the ICD & Alumni Philanthropy teams, develop Alumni mentoring programming to support employees and student success beyond Berea
  • Promote ICD and other campus events as relevant to program participants
  • Support programmatic work of ICD as it aligns with Berea Corps mission.

Other roles/duties will be assigned as necessary to assist the College in the attainment of the goals set forth and the enhancement of a positive, respectful learning environment for all staff, faculty and students.

What You’ll Bring Education required to ensure success in this position
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resource Management, Organizational Psychology, or relevant field; with relevant experience
  • Master’s degree preferred in Human Resource Management, Organizational Psychology, or relevant field
Experience Required to Ensure Success in This Position
  • 3-5 years of experience as a program coordinator or project manager in career services, experiential education or related programs preferred
  • Experience planning and leading educational & career development workshops and events.
Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for the purposes of on‑campus communication and building relationships with partners in the region.
  • Knowledge of student career development and college career services
  • Dynamic track record of event planning and programming
  • Computer proficiency and data management skills (expertise with Microsoft Office suite, databases, and presentation platforms required; familiarity with Moodle preferred)
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently without direct supervision
  • Ability to multitask and meet high standards of quality and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills, and the willingness and ability to take initiative
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
License, Certification, or Registration Necessary
  • Certified Professional Career Coach required or similar:
    Clifton Strengths, NACE, MBTI
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Required background checks
