Job Description As a Security Officer – Access Control in Berea, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and conduct routine patrols within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence helps to deter security‑related incidents while providing exceptional customer service through clear communication.

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Control access to the manufacturing location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
• Carry out site‑specific security‑related procedures in accordance with established policies and protocols.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access‑related inquiries.
• Monitor for and report any suspicious activity or unauthorized individuals within the facility and surrounding areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following emergency response procedures as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access or activity.
• Document and communicate security‑related incidents, observations, and activities to the appropriate personnel at Allied Universal.
• Collaborate with site personnel to maintain a secure and orderly environment for employees and visitors.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
