Job Description

Red Line Landscaping & Snow Removal is hiring dependable individuals to join our snow removal team for the upcoming winter season. Employees will help maintain commercial properties during snow and ice events throughout the winter.

This is an on-call position requiring availability during winter weather events, including overnight hours, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Full training is provided. No previous snow removal experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplows and snow removal equipment as trained and authorized.
• Apply salt and deicing materials to parking lots, driveways, and other paved areas.
• Perform pretreatment before storms when needed.
• Return during and after storms for additional plowing, salting, and cleanup.
• Follow assigned routes, instructions, and service schedules.
• Safely operate company equipment and maintain professional standards at customer properties.
• Communicate with management regarding job progress, equipment issues, and changing conditions.

Requirements

• Must be available throughout the entire winter season, November 1 through March 31.
• Must be reachable by phone and ready to respond when called for a snow or ice event.
• Must be available nights, weekends, holidays, and early mornings as weather requires.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work in cold, demanding outdoor conditions.
• Must follow safety procedures and management instructions.
• Must have reliable transportation to the designated reporting location.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and additional shifts during major storms.

Training Provided

Red Line will provide training on equipment operation, plowing procedures, salt and deicing applications, pretreatment, route expectations, and jobsite safety. Training will be provided before employees are expected to perform assigned duties independently.

Important Scheduling Expectations

Snow and ice events are weather-dependent, so hours and workloads will vary. Some storms may require extended shifts, multiple service visits, or overnight work. Applicants must be able to commit to the on-call nature of the position and communicate any scheduling limitations before accepting the job.
