As the Head of School at New Story Schools, you will provide strategic and instructional leadership for your campus, ensuring excellence in academic programming, staff development, and compliance with Ohio Department of Education standards. You’ll guide a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized education that supports each student’s academic, behavioral, and social growth.
What You’ll Need- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred - Ohio Department of Education Teacher License with Intervention Specialist certification (preferred)
- Minimum of five years of experience in special education, including at least four years in teaching or school leadership
- In-depth knowledge of Ohio Department of Education regulations and individualized instruction practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Oversee school operations, instructional practices, and staff development in alignment with the New Story Schools model
- Ensure compliance with all Ohio Department of Education regulations and the school’s charter
- Supervise and support educational, clinical, and operational staff to promote collaboration and performance excellence
- Lead IEP meetings, monitor curriculum implementation, and ensure high-quality instruction for all students
- Maintain open communication with families, districts, and community partners to support positive student outcomes
