Senior Quality Manager – Onsite

Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace. We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three segments.
- Ensure product conformity across all the Value Streams of both Berea, Ohio & Skokie, Illinois facilities.
- Implement and maintain QMS certifications (AS9100, AS13100, AS9145, FAA, EASA, NADCAP, etc).
- Maintain calibration, production control and monitoring systems.
- Represent the Quality function for the respective SBU, interfacing with internal and external customers.
- Partner with Enterprise Quality to align standards that meet customers, standard agencies and company QMS.
- Leverage Enterprise Quality groups for subject‑matter expertise to obtain BU quality planning and execution across product and program lifecycle.
- Ensure front‑end Quality Plans are incorporated in the contract and Statement of Work (SOW), including budget, scope and alignment with product lifecycle development, production and supply chain, and sustainable compliance.
- Incorporate data‑driven budget planning and quality to enable product and process compliance, integrating Continuous Improvement execution for program and site quality planning.
- Establish and facilitate the Corrective Action Board and Management Review processes for the SBU to measure, review and improve quality results in line with QMS requirements.
- Ensure consistent QMS flow‑down to sites, suppliers and aftermarket and establish a systemic platform for reviews and actions to trace results to annual improvements in defect and escape reduction.
- Establish ongoing review processes to ensure compliance, continuous improvement and maturity for internal, suppliers and aftermarket support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
- 8+ years of prior relevant experience as a Manufacturing and/or Process Engineer.
- Experience with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering and Quality.
- Experience with Quality standards including AS9145, AS9100D, ISO
9001:2015 or equivalent. - Experience working with multiple sites.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement (CI) tools.
- Able to communicate and make presentations to senior/executive level leadership.
- Develop and mentor team members and leaders.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma.
- Experience with JD Edwards and/or other ERP systems.
- Experience with advanced aerospace structures.
- Military and commercial experience.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE Certification).
- Designated Quality Representative experience a plus.
- Certified Manager of Quality/Operational Excellence (CMQ/OE Certification).
