EssentialFunctions
- Leads a team of financial analysts.
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the annual financial planning process and reforecasting process. This includes the monthly reforecasts of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow components.
- Provides an assessment of the financial health of the company by analyzing historical data, identifying trends, and projecting future financial performance.
- Identify, implement, and maintain budgeting, forecasting, and analysis tools (i.e. Netsuite, Power BI, etc.). Driving ongoing process improvements to increase overall quality and efficiency of analysis which includes proactive modeling and analysis tools.
- Provide technical expertise and advice on financial issues to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
- Uncover and help deliver on revenue maximization or cost reduction opportunities partnering with operational leaders. Partner with the revenue program & contract teams to drive growth initiatives through developing recommended pricing and reviewing trends to maximize future internal & external growth initiatives and incentives.
- Participate, as needed, in strategic planning sessions and help analyze relevant strategic initiatives. Regularly measure performance against strategic plan goals.
- Coordinate, prioritize, and review program budgets and grant opportunities to ensure profitability of programs/services or business opportunities being considered.
- Conduct ad hoc and pro forma / "what if" analyses in support of Finance and Operations.
- Assist in ongoing needs supporting the capital structure of the organization.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes.
- In times of need, employees may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by their supervisor.
- Experience in developing financial and operational metrics.
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Excellent computer skills are essential, including MS Office:
Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Netsuite and Power BI experience is desirable. - M&A experience is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in developing sophisticated Excel models.
- Data-warehousing experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; willingness to accept responsibility for projects/processes and ability to work with limited direct supervision.
- Must be able to work as needed to support departmental goals and external deadlines.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Conducts themselves with the highest ethical and moral standards.
- Ability to communicate, interact frequently with, and support Senior Management within various departments.
- BA/BS in Business Administration or Economics with accounting-related courses preferred.
- MBA degree or CPA a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and business planning.
