The Job:As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you’ll be part of our team in our Berea, Ohio plant. You’ll get to:
- Prepare documents such as bills of lading
- Correspond with order management as well as factory representatives to rectify problems so that customer needs dates can be met
- Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for transport
- Contact carrier representatives to make transport arrangements
- Organize distribution and shipping of merchandise: make necessary verifications against documents, prepare the merchandise, move merchandise to the appropriate area, and handle customer pick-ups
- Assign, tag, and store received inventory to proper location
- Receive parts to stock that have come from external suppliers
- Ensure products are properly packed and labeled
- Maintain safe and clean working area

- Experience:
6 months or more of Shipping and Receiving experience - Education/Certification:
High School diploma or equivalent - Knowledge:
Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes;
Knowledge of 5S principles including the ability to apply them to the work environment;
Knowledge of procedures for safely lifting and/or moving packages up to 50 pounds in weight - Detail and data orientation
- Effective process evaluation and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to multi‑task in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal customers
- Ability to accurately count and identify parts and verify with paperwork
- Ability to work well in a team setting and under immediate supervision
