This role involves the inspection of incoming raw materials, supplier evaluation, quality system management, and close collaboration with internal departments to ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.
The position also includes building strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers, supporting the Purchasing function in defining contractual specifications, and working closely with the R&D department to ensure the compatibility of raw materials with product formulations.
The role oversees and coordinates all quality control activities, ensuring that raw materials, production processes, and finished products meet required specifications and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Raw Materials Control
Ensure incoming raw materials meet defined quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Production Process Control
Monitor and control production processes to ensure compliance with established procedures and expected product quality.
Finished Product Quality Control
Perform checks on finished products to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality requirements.
Team Management
Coordinate and supervise the Quality Control and laboratory team, providing training and operational support.
Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards and addressing any non-conformities.
Analyze quality control data, identify critical issues, and propose continuous improvement actions.
Documentation & Quality System
Prepare and update quality management system documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
Support the Quality Manager (QMS) in the management of system-related activities.
Requirements
In-depth knowledge of quality standards and food regulations, including conventional, organic, and baby food-specific legislation.
Strong understanding of production processes within the food industry.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and implement corrective actions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and management.
Basic knowledge of statistics applied to quality control.
Fluency in English and Italian, ensuring autonomy in interactions with international clients and suppliers.
Proven experience in team coordination and operational management.
Experience in sectors such as bakery, cereals, baked goods, or pasta will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
Ensure full compliance of products and processes with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and customer specifications.
Guarantee the overall quality of the company's products and services.
Drive continuous improvement of quality control processes.
Location:
Province of Bergamo
Salary range:
€50,000 – €60,000 gross per year, depending on experience,
CCNL Alimentare.
